Core engineering and protocols for EMP & High-Power Microwave Hardening.
A high-altitude nuclear detonation produces an intense High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) consisting of three phases: the E1 early-time pulse (50,000 V/m with a 2.5 ns risetime), the E2 intermediate pulse, and the E3 late-time magnetohydrodynamic pulse. Unshielded semiconductor junctions are permanently destroyed by E1 induced voltage spikes.
MilitaryTPM incorporates multi-stage attenuation: external chassis Faraday shielding attenuates radiated field strength by > 80 dB, while high-speed TVS clamp arrays and ferrite chokes dissipate conducted surges on power and data traces before energy can reach the internal crypto-core.
